DIRECTOR'S NOTES ...
In the Gràcia (Grace) neighborhood in Barcelona, a cranky woman in her late sixties provides a room in her apartment to a young man of twenty who has come to the city to go to college. He is a rebel who doesn’t hold his tongue, who is struggling to find his place in the world. Neither of them is a coward, though she has the power and he has only his illusions. The world is very complicated. The older woman has given up her dreams and the young man is only discovering them. In a perpetual struggle without truce, they both need each other. Humor, tenderness, agility, a bunch of very cool neighbors, a very pretty girl, a neighborhood full of young people and a powerful soundtrack. And also the need to see the positive side of life. I heard the call of comedy again, that great challenge, the genre that the audience loves no matter where you take it. I hope it will be like this again with Year of Grace.
